The Ministry of Social Development MIDES and the British Hospital renewed the agreement held during the past year, through which homeless people, who are outdoors and who attend nocturnal shelters in Montevideo, will be able to receive medical attention in our Hospital, from May 15th.
Mides will be in charge of coordinating the services, which will be available from Monday to Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
Additionally, BH doctors will visit the shelters to carry out medical assessments and check-ups for those who need it.
This agreement accompanies the national measures to mitigate the social and public health impacts caused by low temperatures.
